Marketing your facility

Whist the majority of our corporate sites are branded as Nuffield Proactive Health fitness & lifestyle centres, we have significant experience in creating specific new brands for clients who are looking to develop a unique look and feel for their facility.

We are happy to review your brand guidelines and create a look and feel that will comply with the values and spirit of your organisation, whilst also giving members a welcoming environment that is different from their normal place of work.

All of our facilities have access to our Proactive extranet. This gives members of staff the ability to design professional collateral themselves from a range of pre-approved templates. We believe there should be a consistent look and feel to everything within your facility – from notices on lockers to studio timetables.

Case Studies

The Procrastinators

Ensuring that our corporate facilities are well used and that members stay engaged and active has always been an important part of our offering. Our marketing team has considerable corporate and commercial experience and ensures that our member recruitment and retention is of the highest order.

Case study: “Will Power” campaign
The first few months of year are always an important time in the fitness business. One of the most popular new year’s resolutions for a significant number of people is either to take up exercise or to do more of it. Also common, unfortunately, is the large number of them that give up within the first 6 weeks. And that’s what our membership promotion is about - getting people to the 7th week and beyond – so they get into the habit of exercising.

Who and what are Will Power and The Procrastinator?
Will Power and The Procrastinator were created to symbolise people’s perception of exercise – you either have the motivation to do it and enjoy the benefits (Will Power) or you have a whole range of excuses why you don’t (The Procrastinator)! Aside from providing visual impact, the posters that accompany this promotion aim to dispel the excuses – exercise hurts, I don’t know how to exercise, don’t have enough time, don’t have the energy etc – while engaging both the non-exerciser/inactive member in to making positive and ongoing changes to their health by joining your fitness & lifestyle centre.

The aim of the promotion is to get people to complete the 7 accompanying weekly workouts – these are designed to be progressively more challenging as each week passes but never so much so that they become too difficult. Each person that signs up will need to log his/her workout as and when completed and get this signed by a member of the Proactive team.
As this promotion aims to boost membership. Posters are displayed in non-gym areas (e.g. restaurant, reception, office notice boards, lifts, etc) where possible.

The promotional pack includes:
o Promotional posters – The Procrastinator’s Excuses; The Procrastinator – Marvel at the size of obstacles, etc;
Will Power – Seven workouts introduction/call to arms; Will Power – Sign up Now; Prize Poster
o 7 Weekly Workouts – 4 pages containing detailed explanation of each weekly workout/advice
o Tracking Sheet – to record individual participants weekly workouts and progress

See attached for examples of the collateral provided.
