One-to-One Sessions

A specific range of one-to-one sessions can be booked, featuring a choice of the following:

Chair Massage (20 minute sessions -18 appointments)
This is an effective back, neck and shoulder massage, concentrating on specific pressure points to release areas of tension and encourage relaxation. Treatment is given fully clothed, without cream or oil in a small, designated room using a chair specifically designed for this treatment. The treatment takes only 20 minutes, and as well as easing aches pain and tension, the massage invigorates the client for his or her return to work.

Indian Head Massage (20 minute sessions -18 appointments)
This is a relaxation technique, which has been used in Asia for thousands of years. Gentle circular movements to the head and neck release tension and stress, leaving the individual relaxed and revitalised. This technique stimulates the senses, improving memory and brainpower. It takes only 20 minutes and, as well as easing aches, pain and tension, invigorates the client leaving him or her refreshed for their return to work. Treatment is given fully clothed, without creams or oils and can conveniently be carried out at the client’s desk.

Reflexology (30 minute sessions - 13 appointments)
Reflexology is a holistic therapy involving massage to specific areas in the feet and hands, which correspond to organs and systems of the body. Reflexology stimulates the immune system, reduces anxiety and tension and helps return the body to a state of balance. Sessions last approximately 30 minutes and can be carried out in any designated area of the office.

Osteoporosis Screening
(20 minute sessions - 18 appointments)
Osteoporosis or ‘brittle bone disease’ is known to affect 1 in 3 women and 1 in 12 men during their lifetime with 1 in 5 people in the USA now estimated as having osteopenia or osteoporosis. The onset of low bone mass can occur at an early age, although through early detection much can be done to improve bone density.

o Early menopause-surgical or non surgical
o High tobacco or alcohol consumer
o History of eating disorders
o Low body weight (BMI)
o Diabetic
o Low lifetime calcium intake
o Minimal weight bearing or resistance exerciser
o Irregular or infrequent menstrual cycles
o Long term use of oral steroids

Nuffield Proactive Health in conjunction with Osteohealth Care can help identify the employees that are at high risk and can offer nutrition and exercise advice or referrals to GPs if necessary. In a simple 20 minute assessment the scan can be done and the advice, results given. This service is suggested for companies with high female population in the late 30’s early 40s.

Musculo-Skeletal Assessment (20 minute sessions -18 appointments)
Inactivity, desk positioning, long hours driving can all be main causes of back pain, and in a short assessment our physiotherapist can assess and explain what people can do themselves, to reduce the risk of suffering from back pain, as well as suggesting some simple exercises that individuals can incorporate into their daily lives.

Hypnotherapy-Quit Smoking (1 hour sessions - 7 appointments)
Quitting smoking can be a challenging and life altering event, usually a decision that has taken much consideration to come to. Combing a workshop for all attendees at the beginning of the day, each person can receive one on one individual coaching to understand the motivations about giving up and to ensure that they are given the correct tools to stop for life.
These sessions will be run by a qualified hypnotherapist, and would involve discussion on the effects of smoking, and why people want to quit. Many people visit hypnotherapists to help them quit smoking, and they are considered to have an excellent success rate.
Perfect for those whole would like to try a more holistic way of giving up smoking. Support CDs can also be purchased by the individuals.

Health and Wellbeing Assessments
The Health and Wellbeing assessment developed by Nuffield Proactive Health offers all the traditional diagnosis and consequent patient care but with the addition of lifestyle coaching. Through coaching we are able to raise awareness of potential health risks and guides individuals how to correct, change and reduce the risk factors. Hence we used specifically trained Physiologists.

o Lifestyle coaching and explanation of results

Nutrition assessments (20 minute sessions -13 appointments)
A nutritionist can offer short individual consultations during which they can offer personalised,
practical guidelines and suggest simple changes that can be made to individual’s diet, which will help boost energy levels and improve general health and wellbeing. Individuals will be required to complete food diaries for several days prior to the appointment to ensure that the best advice is given.

Life Coaching (1 hour sessions - 7 appointments)
Using meditation and creative visualisation techniques you can train your body to de-stress in an instant. A face paced lifestyle is now common place but without adapting to this stress can lead to distressing, disabling symptoms such as anxiety attacks, dizziness, shortness of breath, phobias and a multitude of mental/emotional problems which, if not dealt with, can degenerate into physical disabilities.
